Overall Purpose: Shape the performance of strategic supplier and partner operations that support Sales and Service, Service, and Technical Support. As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will turn business priorities into focused partner actions, strengthen relationships from executive leaders to frontline operations, and use performance and customer insights to improve execution. This role offers meaningful autonomy, regular interaction with senior leaders, and the opportunity to influence customer experience, operational performance, and adoption of new capabilities across internal and partner organizations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own and strengthen relationships with strategic suppliers and partners, building alignment across senior leaders and frontline operational teams.
  • Establish practical performance-management routines, measures, and governance that reinforce quality commitments, organizational standards, and agreed goals.
  • Analyze operational results, trends, and customer insights to identify performance opportunities, emerging risks, and actions needed.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear partner plans, accountable owners, measurable outcomes, and follow-through.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, service quality, customer experience, and overall business performance.
  • Support effective adoption of technology, tools, and emerging capabilities that improve partner execution and customer outcomes.
  • Identify root causes of performance issues, coordinate corrective actions across stakeholders, and monitor progress through resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationship-management plans that define priorities, improvement opportunities, measures, and required actions.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Lead moderate-sized projects or defined workstreams within larger initiatives, guiding others and influencing outcomes without relying on direct authority.

What Success Looks Like

  • Partner relationships create clear accountability, timely decisions, and mutual value.
  • Performance trends, risks, and customer impacts are identified early and translated into action.
  • Quality standards and operating commitments are consistently monitored and reinforced.
  • Improvement plans have defined owners, measures, milestones, and sustained follow-through.
  • Issues are resolved through disciplined root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination.
  • New tools and capabilities are adopted in ways that improve execution and customer experience.
  • Leaders receive concise, credible insights that support sound strategic and operational decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience in vendor management, supplier management, partner operations, outsourced operations, service delivery, or a comparable operational environment.
  • Experience using performance data and operational trends to identify issues, recommend actions, and track outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across multiple organizational levels and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience coordinating issue resolution, continuous improvement, or cross-functional execution in a complex environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with operational teams, business stakeholders, and senior leaders.
