THE ROLE

In recent years we have attracted millions of new users and built up our direct communication skills e.g. via email marketing and notifications across all platforms. TV streaming is the future of TV and engagement, retention as well as reactivation of our users is of increasing importance for Zattoo.

In order to accelerate our marketing efforts, we are currently looking for a motivated (Senior) CRM Manager to join our Performance & Retention Marketing team in Berlin. You will take full ownership of our multichannel and multiplatform user-facing communication (email, push notification, in-app messaging) in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will also strategically develop the domain to drive user engagement, retention and maximize business impact.

THE CONSUMER MARKETING TEAM

You will report directly into the Team Lead Performance & Retention Marketing Team which is a subunit of the Consumer Marketing Team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel CRM strategy across the entire customer lifecycle
  • Own the operational management of our lifecycle segments and communication flows, using channels like email, push notifications, and in-app messages
  • Dive deep into data to uncover insights about customer behavior, identify key segments and journey milestones
  • Measure and report the impact of your initiatives on core business KPIs like LTV, retention and churn.
  • Exercise exceptional stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Manage and optimize our CRM tech stack, ensuring we are leveraging our tools to their full potential to create personalized and automated customer journeys.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 3-5+ years of experience in CRM management, preferably in the subscription business
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful CRM strategies and lifecycle management
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis
  • Excellent understanding of customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalization
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of independence. You can switch easily between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience with Customer engagement platforms like Braze or similar
  • Excellent communication, ownership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand HTML at a level to troubleshoot and edit email templates at code level
  • Above entry level knowledge of SQL and Shopify Liquid is a bonus
  • Proficient German and English language skills are obligatory for this position
