Job Description

Imagine a future where you help shape sound credit risk decisions in a growing energy business by combining data analysis with close stakeholder collaboration

Join us in this role where you’ll conduct credit assessments and ongoing risk evaluations that support robust decision-making across our energy business. You’ll work hands-on with day-to-day credit risk tasks, contribute to consistent processes, and collaborate with experienced colleagues as the team strengthens its presence in Warsaw.

Welcome to Group Risk
You’ll be part of Credit, Liquidity & Financial Regulation Risk where you, together with your colleagues, will design and support Ørsted’s credit risk management across markets and business areas. As a 2nd line function the team works closely with internal and external stakeholders across Ørsted’s commercial and operational activities in designing risk frameworks, assess counterparties, monitor exposures, and support practical, well-documented risk decisions.
As a team, we share knowledge openly, support each other’s development, and value curiosity, accountability, and collaboration in our daily work.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • conducting credit assessments and ongoing risk evaluations for counterparties across Ørsted’s full value chain, from development and procurement to operations and commercial activities

  • preparing clear credit recommendations, ratings, and supporting documentation for decision-making

  • supporting day-to-day credit risk activities with a consistent, structured, and operational mindset

  • collaborating with stakeholders in risk and the energy business to understand exposures and business needs

  • contributing to well-functioning credit risk processes as the team strengthens collaboration across locations

  • bringing curiosity and analytical discipline to a role with strong learning and development opportunities.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience in credit risk, financial risk, credit analysis, or equivalent experience

  • enjoy hands-on analytical work and can turn financial information into clear risk assessments

  • communicate insights clearly and confidently to stakeholders with different levels of risk expertise

  • work in a structured way, follow through on recurring tasks, and maintain quality in documentation

  • are motivated by learning, developing your credit risk expertise, and contributing to a collaborative team

  • are based in, or open to being based in, Warsaw and able to collaborate regularly with colleagues in the office.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

About Ørsted

Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world.

Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy.

We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder.

As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.
