The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager in evaluating the financial condition of businesses and associated individuals applying for credit by preparing spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions for lenders on new, renewal, and existing loans. The Senior Credit Analyst prepares written financial analysis and credit approval packages for new loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews. The Senior Credit Analyst performs all necessary due diligence in underwriting loan requests. The position is exempt and reports to the Credit Manager. Other responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes current credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Assists loan officers by providing them pertinent information so that the best credit decision can be made.
  • Assists the Credit Manager on the development of loan policy and its implementation bank wide.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of loan compliance issues and making recommendations to the Credit Manager on improvements to the bank's lending procedures.
  • Assists the Credit Manager with preparation of reports for committee and executive use including, but not limited to, line of credit use reports, financial statement exception report, delinquent taxes report, and the policy exception report.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt

WORK LOCATION: In person

SCHEDULE: Day shift Monday through Friday with some additional hours if needed
