What you’ll do as a Senior Credit Analyst:

• Action loan applications including both new mortgage applications, personal loan applications and variations.
• making quality credit risk decisions, managing credit quality issues and input to changes to credit policies, credit tools / guidelines and lending processes to support the business growth agenda
• Build and nurture internal and external relationships including; internal lending officers, branches, brokers, white label funding partners, business support teams, relationships with mortgage insurers and funding panels with the purpose of maximising the acceptance of loan applications
• deliver excellent customer service experience through an engaged and capable team and timely and accurate assessment decisions
• promote a positive and collaborative culture
• Provide mentoring and guidance to internal lending officers, brand partners, 3rd party networks and relationship managers.
• Assist and guide junior team members with complex applications

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience in the finance industry with several of these years dedicated to loan assessment and approval
• Solid understanding of credit analyst procedures, residential lending, credit practices and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain credit decisions
• High concern for accuracy, strong problem solving and analytical skills with the agility to analyse situations and use initiative
• Relevant qualifications from a recognised college or university in Finance / Commerce, Credit Management, Mortgage Broking or closely related field
