System Excellence Division
System Excellence is responsible for the areas of teaching and leadership excellence and provincial assessment. This includes certification of all teachers, principals and superintendents in the province; developing and implementing professional practice standards; and conducting practice assurance in relation to the teaching profession. System Excellence division also develops, administers, marks and continually improves Alberta’s provincial assessments, including the Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs), Diploma Exams (DIPS), and Literacy/Numeracy Assessments.

The Senior Credential Evaluator completes the assessment of Canadian and international teacher credentials to support Alberta teacher certification. This role works collaboratively with licensing bodies, post secondary institutions, and education stakeholders to ensure assessment standards are accurate, current, and consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires strong research, analytical, and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of education partners.

Education
University degree in a related field supplemented by two years progressively responsible experience.

There is one permanent full-time position working for 36.25 hours per week located in Edmonton.
