Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).

Senior Creative Designer, Retail Design

You will be responsible for originating, developing, and delivering high-end 3D creative design solutions for Sephora's retail projects across the Southeast Asia-Oceania (SEAO) markets. This transversal role will focus predominantly on new store concepts and newCreativeVisual Merchandising concepts, alongside other innovative creative projects. You will be instrumental in translating, elevating, and incorporating Sephora's Brand DNA into all design solutions to provide an unparalleled customer experience, managing projects independently, and collaborating closely with various internal teams to bring these concepts to life.

The role reports directly to the Director, Store Design & Construction, SEAO.

  • Creative Concept & 3D Design Development:
    • Deliver high-end creative 3D design solutions for a variety of retail projects across our SEAO markets.
    • Work with Store Designer to develop new store concepts, encompassing overall store layouts, customer flow, and spatial experiences.
    • Work with Fixtures & Creative Visual Merchandising Designer to develop newCreativeVisual Merchandising concepts, ensuring innovative and brand-aligned product presentations.
    • Engage in any new creative projects as required, including office designs, prospection visuals, and other innovative spatial concepts.
    • Translate, elevate, and incorporate Sephora's Brand DNA into all design solutions to provide the best customer experience.
    • Produce advanced 3D renderings, virtual walk-throughs, and compelling visual presentations to communicate design intent clearly and effectively, supporting stakeholder alignment and decision-making.
  • Project Leadership & Management:
    • Lead assigned design projects with independence, managing operational expectations, project schedules, and project deliverables from concept to execution.
    • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure accurate interpretation and timely execution of creative design intent throughout delivery.
    • Manage assigned project timelines and budgets, ensuring design deliverables are completed efficiently and in line with Sephora guidelines and standards.
  • Collaboration & Roll-out:
    • Collaborate closely with relevant teams, including but not limited to Retail Experience, Creative, Marketing, and Retail Projects, to fulfill and continuously improve design solutions.
    • Bring design solutions to life and actively participate in rolling out various new retail andCreativeVM concepts across the Southeast Asia markets.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that enhance customer experience, support operational needs, and reflect Sephora's brand vision.
  • Innovation & Research:
    • Stay informed on cutting-edge design trends, materials, new technologies, and best practices in retail design andCreativeVisual Merchandising to continuously elevate Sephora's store environments.
    • Proactively research and present new creative ideas and concepts that can push the boundaries of retail design within Sephora.

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

  • 4–6 years of experience in creative design, retail design, interior design, or architecture, with a strong portfolio showcasing 3D conceptualization and execution.
  • Hands-on experience in leading and managing design projects from concept through to final creative delivery.
  • Extensive exposure to beauty, fashion, luxury, or customer-facing retail environments is a distinct advantage.
  • Exceptional creative design sensibility with a proven ability to translate brand DNA and strategic briefs into innovative and practical 3D design solutions.
  • High proficiency in advanced 3D rendering software - 3D Max, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Ability to produce clear and compelling layouts, drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentations.
  • Strong project coordination skills across timelines, budgets, and deliverables, capable of managing external vendors for creative elements.
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with sound judgment in balancing creativity and operational feasibility.
  • Ability to independently drive assigned workstreams with professionalism and follow-through.
