Arcadis is looking for a Cost Coordinator to join our team in Lisbon, PT.

Our ideal candidate will have solid experience in Cost Management, technical background, and good personal soft skills with innovative and digital orientation and leadership skills. Will be part of our Cost Management team.

The role will be responsible of operationally deliver/manage (sub)projects in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls within required standards of quality, delivery, and safety.

Role accountabilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Technical Due Diligence audits: Technical review of installation projects, technical specifications, and maintenance documentation for all types of assets (industrial, residential, tertiary); analysing regulatory compliance, design and operating conditions and useful life of equipment.
  • Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates and project cash-flow.
  • Advise on contractual matters.
  • Preparation of tender documentation and evaluation, review and validate Contractor estimates.
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to potential risks.
  • Monitor Contractors to ensure compliance with the Contract.
  • Validate claims for change on the scope of works and agree new value.
  • Monitor delivery of the Contractor´s services & works to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts.
  • Undertaking costs analysis of works or services delivered.
  • Post-contract administration and management - contract documentation, valuation of progress payment, variation assessment, and cost control report.
  • Provide financial progress reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience preferably in Cost management teams
  • University degree in Construction Management (Building Surveying) or Architecture; also M&E engineers are welcomed;
  • Ideally experience in Data Centers/MEP and Hospitality.
  • Proven knowledge in MS Office &MS Project.
  • MRICS or equivalent is not required but will be an asset.
  • Technical proficiency -measurement, cost estimating, construction technology, contracts and law
  • Previous experience within a Consultancy environment is a plus
  • Proven experience managing project cost/budget, scope, schedule, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting project performance
  • Good communication skills
  • Good negotiation and people skills
  • Strong technical education in buildings construction
  • Client facing, well-organized, self-motivated and able to work on their own as well as working within a team and lead it.
