Job Description

Representing a leader in the industry, we are searching for a Senior Cost Engineer/Estimator to join their Houston TX office.

The Sr. Estimator will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates based upon conceptual documents as well as schematic, design development, and construction documents. The Sr. Estimator must interface with other estimating disciplines as well as the other members of the Project Team and Owner Representatives.

Requirements:

  • Estimate construction project cost for various types of projects
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Responsible, ethical, and conscientious nature
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Presentation and communication skills appropriate for meetings with clients and management
  • 10 years of construction estimating experience
  • Ability to provide cost at a high conceptual or programming level
  • Lead estimating team review for estimating quantities and scope of project
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar field of study preferred.
  • Field experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Aviation/Transportation OR Public Works experience a PLUS
