Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. Role Purpose

Our Senior Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting the assistant plant controller in the timely and accurate completion of finance deliverables and partnering with plant operations leadership to analyze and interpret data to inform business outcomes

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Cost Analyst, you will:

  • Close the financial books monthly, analyze actual results, and support all monthly reporting requirements
  • Support assistant plant controller for timely and accurate completion of accounting activities, including fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, period reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and overall asset and liability control
  • Support annual preparation of budget and business forecasts, including analysis of capital investments with return metrices (ROI, IRR & Payback)
  • Work with plant personnel to identify and quantify cost reduction opportunities, maintain plant cost accounting systems
  • Inventory control and management, capital investment management, and manufacturing variance analysis and reporting
  • Maintain internal control systems and ensure compliance to local regulations, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, US GAAP, and Corporate Accounting Policies, and participate as a leader in setting and managing the direction of the plant as well as support tax and insurance filings

Key capabilities for this role include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, process-oriented and organized, solid understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to learn on the fly and serve on various project teams, learn quickly when facing new problems or unfamiliar tasks
  • Self-motivated, ability to take initiative, culturally sensitive, ambitious and aspires to grow professionally
  • Ability to monitor, maintain, and improve systems to support continuous improvement to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience
  • Strong computer skills required: proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint, general ledger systems, forecasting tools

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience working with PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix, and Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes) preferred

The range for this position is $67,342.00 - $92,595.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
