Purpose of the role

In this role, you’ll coordinate cost analysis activities for one or more major projects—ensuring the quality, accuracy and clarity of all cost reporting. You’ll serve as a key advisor to project management and stakeholders, guiding decisions with data‑driven insights and maintaining strong alignment across teams. Through leadership, collaboration and technical expertise, you’ll help us deliver projects efficiently, responsibly and with purpose.

Core responsibilities

  • Coordinate overall cost analysis activities across one or more large, complex projects.
  • Ensure the preparation, accuracy and quality of project cost reports and forecasts.
  • Establish strong communication channels with project management and customers on all matters related to cost control.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to validate field cost reporting and project progress.
  • Assign, review and support the work of cost analysis team members as a senior advisor.
  • Lead functional project teams and participate in cross‑functional collaboration when required.
  • Provide informed technical guidance and support to others on cost systems, processes and tools.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and reports, informing and persuading stakeholders on complex cost‑related matters.
  • Work with broad objectives and priorities, influencing outcomes across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Apply sound judgment to ensure compliance with standards, policies and best practices.

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in cost analysis, cost control or project controls.
  • Advanced understanding of cost management systems, processes and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, support others and provide technical guidance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience leading small teams or providing senior‑level technical support.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver high‑quality proposals, reports and presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capabilities.
  • Experience in the mining industry is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, multidisciplinary project environments.
