Are you ready to use your analytical skills to make a real impact in a fast growing environment-As a Senior Consultant at BDO Hasselt, you will work closely with our strong portfolio of corporate and international clients, transforming financial data into strategic insights that help them make decisions with confidence and clarity.Working primarily from our Hasselt office, while collaborating with teams across the region and the wider BDO netwerk, you become the trusted advisor businesses rely on.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Consultant Accountancy, you will collaborate closely with managers and partners to:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate client accounts, working both independently and in close collaboration with your team.
  • Provide pragmatic and personalised financial advice through regular client interactions. Depending on the client’s needs and internal organisation, you act as a key financial advisor and support them across multiple domains.
  • Handle detailed financial tasks, including updating financial results, preparing interim balance sheets, managing VAT returns, and compiling annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Translate financial data into clear strategic insights that support clients’ business decisions.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues as you continue to develop your own leadership skills.

What do you bring to the table?

Here’s what makes you a perfect fit as a Senior Consultant Accountancy in Hasselt:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics.
  • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience with solid technical skills. ITAA certification is a plus and we support your journey toward it.
  • Fluency in Dutch and good working knowledge of English; French is an asset.
  • A curious and analytical mindset, with a positive, solution driven approach to challenges.‑driven approach to challenges.
  • A collaborative spirit: you enjoy working with colleagues and clients and can communicate financial insights clearly, even under tight deadlines.
