Job Description

Department: Marketing
Based in: Brighton HQ
Working arrangement: Full time, permanent - hybrid

This is a first for MPB.

We’re bringing Corporate Communications in-house - and building something smarter, sharper, and more ambitious. This role will lead it.

As our Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you’ll own how MPB shows up in the world. From big media moments to leadership storytelling, you’ll drive a narrative that builds credibility, visibility, and trust at scale.

You’ll report into, and partner closely with our Head of Communications to define and deliver a PR strategy that positions MPB at the centre of the circular economy conversation.

If you’re a strategic PR operator who knows how to land stories that matter - this is your platform.

What you will do.

Own the narrative

  • Lead MPB’s corporate PR activity end to end, from press office and reactive media management to proactive campaigns

  • Shape and evolve our corporate story - clear, compelling, and consistent, translating complex business priorities into strong external messaging

  • Spot opportunities to place MPB in industry, tech, and circular economy conversations

Drive media impact

  • Build and manage strong relationships with key media across priority markets

  • Deliver high-quality, high-impact coverage for major business moments

  • Work with specialist partners to land Tier 1 media opportunities

Elevate leadership voices

  • Help raise the profile of senior leaders through smart, targeted storytelling

  • Create and activate thought leadership plans aligned to business priorities

  • Lead awards, speaking, and profiling opportunities that build further credibility

Connect 'earned' and 'owned'

  • Develop integrated storytelling across PR and owned channels (especially LinkedIn)

  • Partner closely with our Content, Digital PR and Internal Comms teams to maximise reach and consistency

  • Ensure that every story works harder across channels

Measure what matters

  • Track performance through share of voice, message pull-through and visibility

  • Focus on quality and impact - not just volume!

  • Use insight to continuously refine strategy and execution, staying curious about new tools and approaches (including AI)

What you will bring.

  • Strong PR experience (agency or in-house) - we are completely open to this being your first step into an in-house function!

  • A track record of landing meaningful, high-quality media coverage

  • Sharp storytelling and strategic messaging skills - you're able to turn complex ideas into clear narratives

  • Experience supporting leadership profiling and thought leadership

  • Commercial awareness - you understand how PR drives reputation and growth!

  • Confidence operating in ambiguity, balancing strategy and execution

  • A collaborative, relationship-led approach, building credibility with both stakeholders and media

  • A data-informed approach (you measure, learn and improve!)

  • Curiosity about new tools and ways of working, including AI and automation

  • Bonus: you have worked with purpose-led brands, marketplaces or circular economy businesses!

Why this role.

Build something new: This is our first in-house Corporate Comms hire, and we're excited about it. Real ownership. Real impact.

Share a global narrative: We have grown rapidly, and responsibly. We are still scaling, with a story that genuinely matters.

Work at the intersection of business and brand: Strategy, storytelling and leadership visibility. All in one role.
