Arch is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. This role provides hands‑on exposure to corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, allocation methodologies, and forecasting while partnering closely with stakeholders across Corporate Finance and Arch’s operating segments. The position offers a strong opportunity to build technical expertise, gain cross‑functional experience, and contribute to Arch’s overall financial performance.
This role will sit in the Greensboro, NC office on a hybrid schedule of two days in the office, three days remote This role would be great for a candidate with solid GAAP experience from another large, public company or the public accounting world.
Key Responsibilities
· Accounting Operations: Prepare key expense accruals and other journal entries as part of the accounting close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
· Corporate Expense Budgeting Process: Perform tasks related to the periodic corporate expense forecasting process, maintaining accurate forecast inputs and providing strategic insights that align with company goals.
· Segment and Corporate Expense Analysis: Produce ongoing analysis of expenses related to corporate entities and segments, providing accurate and insightful analysis.
· Ad Hoc and Supplemental Analysis: Prepare and deliver ad hoc and supplemental analysis requests from corporate departments as needed.
· Stakeholder Communication: Execute analysis and assist in communicating financial results and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
· Compliance with Internal Controls: Ensure process adherence to internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
· Budgeting System Administration and Development: Assist in the administration and development of Anaplan models and applications to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and ensure excellent end user experience.
· Innovation/Transformation: Continuously identify and advocate for process improvements that will address pain points, increase accuracy and shorten lead time on deliverables.
· Compliance with GAAP and International Accounting Standards: Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable GAAP and international accounting standards.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
· CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
· Strong base knowledge of GAAP principles
· Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Experience in Workday and Anaplan preferred, not required.
