SENIOR COPYWRITER

Creative Department

Reports to: Group Copy Supervisor

Job Summary

A Senior Copywriter is highly competent in their core function as demonstrated through previous agency experience. They show a strong understanding of brand strategy, strong conceptual abilities, and offer unique solutions to challenges. They are increasingly comfortable presenting work to clients and interacting with clients/vendors. They can balance day-to-day workload while contributing on new business pitches and internal initiatives. Additionally, the Senior Copywriter embodies the Calcium+Company’s core values of commitment, integrity, and respect, both in their work and in their relationships with their co-workers and external clients.

Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following) Works on concepts effectively in groups or with art partnerReviews work against the creative brief to ensure strategic soundnessSuccessfully incorporates internal and client revisions while maintaining impact of art/copyBuilds effective relationships with account, project management, and others on the creative teamProactively makes recommendations relevant to client workPositively represents agency core values both internally and at industry functionsBegins to work with outside vendors and internal servicesHelps with ensuring that jobs come in on time and on budgetOwns projectsInterprets strategic objectives and creates or suggests tactics cooperatively with art team to executeHas the opportunity for mentorship of Interns of Associate Copywriter

Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements) 4+ years of industry/agency experienceCommunication skills, including ability to work with a partnerDeveloping presentation skills/building of client relationshipsTeam player (willingness to collaborate)Ability to work within appropriate software programs:Microsoft Suite:Word
