You will partner closely with Art Directors to craft standout work across all channels, taking ownership of complex projects while mentoring junior talent.

  • Brand Voice Ownership: Ensure brands maintain a cohesive verbal identity, voice, tone, and messaging architecture across all tactics.
  • Scientific & Clinical Mastery: Gain a deep understanding of complex scientific ideas, clinical data, and disease-state relevance to ensure copy is both medically accurate and creatively inspiring.
  • Project & Workload Management: Manage complex copy projects independently under tight deadlines, while providing oversight and support on smaller initiatives.
  • Briefing & Planning: Help develop and review creative briefs that provide sharp strategic insight and creative inspiration.
  • Client Interfacing: Demonstrate an intimate understanding of client products and marketing challenges; represent the agency at client meetings, lead conce pt presentations, and attend social events as appropriate.
  • Business Acumen: Maintain a solid understanding of brand tactic timelines, budgets, and the overall brand plan.

What It Takes:

  • Experience: 4–5+ years of advertising agency experience, with a proven track record in pharmaceutical/healthcare advertising (HCP and/or DTC).
  • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, strategic agility, and exceptional writing across digital, print, and video channels.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills to work effectively with your art partner, as well as other agency disciplines (Account Management, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Digital Strategy, etc.).
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to command a room when pitching to internal teams and clients.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes, and AMA Manual of Style guidelines.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or guiding junior writers is a strong plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) for writing and formatting presentations. Familiarity with digital workflow and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Slack) and cloud-based regulatory platforms (e.g., Veeva PromoMats) is preferred.
