The Sr Coordinator Operational Buying is a critical role supporting the Little Chute manufacturing facility. Responsible for end-to-end purchasing execution in support of factory operations, ensuring materials are procured on time, at best cost, and in compliance with Nestlé policies.

This position operates at the intersection of Finance, Procurement, and Maintenance/Engineering, ensuring accurate financial processes while maintaining uninterrupted supply to the factory.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and validate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for completeness and compliance
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for indirect materials and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely availability of required parts
  • Ensure accurate PO creation, goods receipts, and invoice alignment to support financial reporting
  • Monitor and follow up on open and overdue POs, escalating risks to operations
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, blocked invoices, and PO errors to maintain clean financials
  • Act as the primary liaison between factory teams and suppliers
  • Maintain purchasing data integrity within SAP / Ariba systems
  • Monitor procurement KPIs (e.g., blocked invoices, overdue POs)
  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé procurement policies and audit standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement
  • Backup Tech Stores Attendant:
    • Including issuing and receiving parts, operating Material Handling Equipment, and potentially working an off-shift or weekend on occasion.
    • Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, procurement, or maintenance preferred


REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently
  • Professional, high ethical standards and a positive cooperative attitude
  • Strong analytical organizational, administrative, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to proactively analyze and identify cost and process improvements
  • Experience with mechanical parts, and/or purchasing is desired
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities
