Senior Coordinator Geraldton

• Permanent Part-Time Opportunity - 22.8 hours/week (0.6FTE)
• Based in Geraldton

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ngala is seeking suitable candidates to join as a Senior Coordinator in Geraldton. This role will provide leadership to the Geraldton team to support the coordination of a diverse range of community programs and services enhancing outcomes for children and families. It will be responsible for guiding and ensuring high quality provision of services which align with Ngala’s strategic priorities and purpose.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Provide effective people leadership, mentoring and coaching to direct reports to ensure programs/services are delivered to a high standard.
2. Oversee the implementation of programs/services ensuring contractual obligations are met effectively and efficiently.
3. Maintain oversight of financial performance of allocated cost centres.
4. Contribute to strategic planning and service integration.
5. Perform day to day operational tasks/activities.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be highly organised and have strong communication skills together with the following:

• Qualifications and/or significant experience in a relevant field/s, including but not limited to, human services, health, education, child development, community development, human resource management or similar discipline.
• Demonstrated awareness and understanding of working with families/organisations from diverse cultures including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
• Experience in a leadership/management role within a community services setting, including provision of staff supervision and support.
• Demonstrated commitment to and experience in strengths based, child centred practice and family and community capacity building.
• Well-developed self-awareness and understanding of role within the team.
• Well-developed and effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, liaise with a broad range of people across all levels, both internally and externally and with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Intermediate/Proficient Administration level of competency.
• Intermediate IT level of competency.
• Effective and efficient self-management skills.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write and effectively review professional correspondence, proposals, and reports.
• Ability to work within a changing and dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work constructively towards Ngala’s strategic objectives.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work across other Ngala sites as required.
• Possession of a current National Police Certificate.
• Possession of current WA driver’s licence.
• Possession of current Working with Children check
