In this senior role, you’ll work with Tier 1 clients while being supported by a talented, multidisciplinary team. You’ll lead engineering and design initiatives, oversee control system upgrades, and play a pivotal role in future commissioning projects.

Success in this role requires solid, hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs, coupled with a passion for delivering innovative yet practical solutions.

While predominantly office-based, you’ll have opportunities to travel to site as needed - enhancing your understanding of project execution and contributing to a diverse portfolio of technically rewarding projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and deliver tailored control system solutions for mineral processing projects.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in technical and professional growth.
  • Program and configure PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to meet client needs.
  • Conduct commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure system performance.
  • Design and create electrical schematics and technical documentation for deliverables.
  • Support maintenance and optimisation of control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams for smooth project delivery.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of control system network design and configuration.
  • Proven control systems experience – typically 3+ years working on industrial projects.
  • Hands-on experience programming and commissioning PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens) and SCADA systems (e.g., Citect SCADA or FactoryTalk View).
  • Strong knowledge in designing and configuring control system networks.
  • Passionate about mentoring and providing support to junior team members to guide their technical and professional growth.
