The Package Refurbishment & Upgrades (PRU) Controls Design Engineer is responsible for the design of turbine and driven equipment control systems and upgrades to existing fielded equipment, while meeting established expectations for quality and timeliness (driven equipment includes, but is not limited to, gas compressors, pumps, and industrial power generators). He or she will interface with PRU Project Application Engineering, PRU Project Management, PSO (D380) Operations, Mabank Operations, Regional Field Engineers, Field Project Engineers, and other departments to ensure that projects are well defined and meet the scope of supply. He or she will create the electrical schematic, console and package electrical wiring diagrams, interconnect wiring schedule, controller and display (HMI) software.
Additionally, the candidate will support Project Management to develop and define custom requirements, as well as supporting the manufacturing and test organizations through successful completion of the project, maintaining a close liaison with Standards Engineering to ensure that design improvements are incorporated into the relevant standard database(s) and will participate in HAZOPS, customer design reviews, technical task risk assessments, Factory Pre-Commissioning (FPC), acceptance tests and support field personnel through equipment commissioning.
