Your Role:

  • The Senior Controlling Analyst serves as a key finance business partner responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, business analysis, planning, forecasting, and controlling services that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • This role requires extensive collaboration with regional and global stakeholders to provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial information while ensuring strong data governance, process excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • As a senior member of the team, the Senior Controlling Analyst is expected to lead complex analyses, drive reporting and process standardization initiatives, provide guidance to junior team members, and act as a subject matter expert in business controlling and financial planning processes.
  • The role also supports finance transformation initiatives, automation projects, and organizational priorities aimed at enhancing business performance and operational efficiency.
  • The position reports directly to the Team Leader and works closely with business leaders, finance partners, and cross-functional teams on reporting, planning, performance management, and strategic projects.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • CIMA and/or CMA certifications are advantageous but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, or Business Controlling functions in a multinational, local, or shared services environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business controlling, including:
  • Experience working in a multinational, shared services, global business services, or center of excellence environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple regions and functions.
  • Experience leading process improvement, standardization, or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industries is an advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Finance, Accounting, Business Controlling, and FP&A principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, Power Query, PivotTables, data analytics, and automation techniques.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and other ERP platforms.
  • Experience with:
  • TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics
  • Business Intelligence platforms
  • Business Objects
  • Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets and complex financial information.
  • Experience with process automation, reporting automation, and Robotics Process Automation (RPA) tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and digital finance tools is preferred.

  • May interact with regional and global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
