UGL delivers some of Australia’s most critical infrastructure across resources, defence, transport, power and renewables. Within UGL, the Utilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business focuses on keeping electricity networks operating safely and reliably through long‑term maintenance and operational programs.
In WA, we deliver a Western Power maintenance contract covering distribution and transmission overhead maintenance across metro and regional areas, including pole replacements, line repairs and fault response. It’s a large, live program with ongoing delivery supporting WA’s electricity network.
The role is based in Canning Vale, with a move to a brand new facility closer to the airport and just 10 minutes from the city.

About the role
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you’ll take ownership of contract performance across a live maintenance program. You’ll be the key commercial lead supporting operations, making sure the contract is managed correctly, risks are controlled, and opportunities to improve outcomes are identified and pursued.You’ll work closely with delivery teams, the client and internal stakeholders, influencing decisions and ensuring the program delivers strong commercial outcomes.
This role is about being in the driver’s seat, owning the detail, supporting the team and helping maximise overall performance.
Key responsibilities
Own the head contract and manage downstream subcontract arrangements.
Manage claims, variations, notices and contractual compliance (including registers).
Deliver forecasting, cost-to-complete and monthly commercial reporting.
Identify and manage commercial risks, issues and opportunities.
Support operations and stakeholders to drive performance and protect margin.
