An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a proven Senior Contracts Administrator to join a nationally significant Defence infrastructure project on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, located in Australia’s remote north-west Indian Ocean Territory.
The role is a Perth based (offsite) opportunity and with project certainty through to the end of 2029, this role offers the rare combination of long-term stability, genuine responsibility and a career-defining scope of work.
Working within a major Defence-funded infrastructure project via an Integrated Managing Contractor engagement model, this role provides an exceptional opportunity to establish yourself within one of Australia's fastest-growing sectors. As defence investment continues to expand across infrastructure, maritime capability and national security projects, professionals with proven defence project experience will be well positioned for long-term career opportunities both now and into the future.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of selected upstream commercial functions and downstream administration of significant packages of civil and infrastructure works, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of critical project outcomes. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and accountability, making it ideal for a disciplined and proactive professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and driving results in a complex project environment.

How you’ll connect to the role?
You are an established Senior Contracts Administrator with proven experience and an established track record who ideally has the future potential and aspiration of a Project Commercial Manager. Supported by relevant tertiary qualifications, you bring proven project delivery experience, with strong commercial expertise and discipline, and the ability to work well with a team and provide leadership, support and guidance to the broader project delivery team.
Experience delivering Defence, aviation, infrastructure or remote projects will be highly regarded, as will Managing Contractor engagement model experience. With your commercial expertise, attention to detail, self-starting nature and disciplined approach to delivery, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this nationally significant project.
