ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hybrid role based at the Territory Headquarters of The Salvation Army in Blackburn. As a Senior Contract Support Advisor you will be:

  • Managing Contract Management relationships with key external representatives (particularly from the Account and Contract Management teams) within the relevant government departments.
  • Managing completion of Program Assurance and audit activities to ensure that all requirements are met and reduce recoveries.
  • Providing a second level of contractual advice to internal staff on contractual, policy and system questions to support service delivery and optimise revenue.
  • Making critical decisions on complex contractual issues and problems.
  • Providing contractual advice to senior managers to inform organisational strategies and plans.
  • Maintaining a knowledgebase of responses and transferring the knowledge to staff to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Analysing contractual information in deeds and guidelines and communicating accurate information to staff at all levels to support service delivery.
  • Responsible for writing and distributing the organisation's key contractual messages.
  • Recording issues that arise from department audit, correspondence and internal queries.
  • Reviewing and organising the signing of contracts and other legal documents.

This role suits someone who enjoys analysing information, solving compliance problems, and communicating complex requirements in a simple, actionable way.

ABOUT YOU

This is an ideal next step if you’re ready to move from frontline or site‑based work into a national office specialist role. You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in Employment Services (essential)
  • Contract or compliance experience in a highly regulated environment (advantage but not essential)
  • Strong written communication skills - demonstrated through workplace experience or tertiary study in areas such as communications, business or public policy
  • A methodical, analytical approach to problem‑solving
  • Confidence working within KPIs and structured performance frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support effective stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to anticipate changes and think ahead when interpreting new contractual requirements
  • Experience contributing to projects or continuous improvement activities
  • Advanced digital capability (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook)
  • Relevant qualifications (business, communications, public policy) or equivalent sector experience

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
