Senior Contract Manager

Location- London or Glasgow

Salary from £57,600 with up to 15% Annual Bonus and Single Healthcare

As Senior Contract Manager, you will assist on negotiating, securingand managing contracts required by the Construction function in the execution of Offshore Windfarms.

This role will also have a reporting line in the project, generally the Project Construction Manager.

Whatyou’llbe doing


You will focus on the delivery of large-scale Offshore Wind projects, working with multinational joint venture partners and Contractors to ensure that our position is suitably protected in all agreements.

Establishing and leading a team of experts to define contracting strategies and plans, you will be required to oversee and support the tendering, negotiationand management of construction contracts

Working closely with the supply chain to maintain high-level relationships with suppliers and contractors, you will ensure effective and value-adding relationships with suppliers to enhance our ability to deliver against our business strategy

Frequent travel to various locations in UK and overseas may be required during the development, contracting and delivery phases of the project

Functions and activities to ensure you will effectively manage contracts, support project delivery and contribute to the overall success of Offshore Windfarm projects will consist of the following:

Contract Strategy Development

  • You will develop and implement contracting strategies and plans for the Offshore Windfarm project in close coordination with project construction manager You will also ensure that strategies align with overall business objectives and project requirements

Tendering and Negotiating

  • You will lead the tendering process, preparing and issuing tender documents, negotiating contractual terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors to secure favourable agreements

Contract Management

  • You will oversee the execution and administration of contracts, ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budgetMonitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, you will also manage contract variations, claims and disputes effectively

Teamwork

  • You will provide guidance and support to Contract Managers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • You will coordinate with internal departments (e.gOperations, Technical Services, Project Support) to ensure comprehensive input into contracts whilst maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholdersincluding suppliers, contractors, joint venture partnersand regulatory bodies

Supply Chain Management

  • You will work closely with the supply chain to maintain high-level relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring the supply chain is aligned with project requirements and business strategy

Risk Management

  • You will identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and project delivery whilst developing contingency plans to address potential issues and challenges

Compliance and Reporting

  • You will ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory and company standardsYou will also prepare and present regular reports on contract performance and project progress to senior management

Continuous Improvement

  • You will identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in contract management You will stay updated with industry trends and developments to enhance contract management practices

What you’llbring

To be successful in this role, you will be educated to Degree level andpossess a commercially orientated qualification with strong technical preferences

With your experience in ProjectContract and Management, you will be IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software

Being flexible to travel around Europe, you will have a proven track record delivering complex multi-discipline projects

Previous work experienceswithinOffshore sector, Energy sector or within Onshore Construction are advantageous
