About the Project:

The NSW Government’s Regional Rail Fleet Project is replacing the ageing XPT, XPLORER, and Endeavour train fleets with a modern fleet of 29 diesel-electric motor units. Under this ambitious and transformative project, UGL will deliver essential works and maintain these trains through a newly constructed state-of-the-art maintenance facility in Dubbo, while also upgrading and operating the existing Sydenham Maintenance Centre (SMC).

This role sits within UGL’s Rail Transport Passenger Maintenance business and supports delivery of critical infrastructure upgrades to align with the new Mariyung and Regional Rail fleets.

About Your Role:

As the Senior Contract Administrator, you will support the Sydenham Outstation Depot upgrade works as part of the NSW Regional Rail Fleet Project, overseeing commercial, contractual, and project support across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll manage contracts, procurement, and financial performance while partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders to drive successful delivery.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead commercial and contract management
  • Manage end to end contract administration including claims, variations and notices
  • Manage client, supplier and subcontractor relationships to deliver strong project outcomes
  • Lead procurement, contract administration, and commercial performance
  • Provide strategic commercial advice, risk management and financial oversight
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, governance and project requirements
  • Drive cost control, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives


About You:

The successful candidate for the Senior Contracts Administrator role must possess the following key attributes:

  • 10+ years in contract administration or similar commercial role
  • Experience in infrastructure, rail, or engineering projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
