The Opportunity

You will work closely with Japanese multinational corporations and regional organizations across Southeast Asia, supporting business transformation initiatives from strategy development through execution and operational optimization.

You will play a key role in driving client engagements, developing business opportunities, and delivering high-impact consulting solutions across a range of industries. This role offers the opportunity to work with senior client stakeholders and contribute to the growth of our Japan-focused consulting practice.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver consulting engagements for Japanese clients, covering strategy development, operating model design, business transformation, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Advise clients on business and operational challenges, identifying opportunities to improve performance and drive sustainable growth.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
• Support business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, client presentations, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Lead project delivery teams, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and regional EY teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
• Contribute to thought leadership, practice development, and capability building within the consulting team.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant consulting and advisory experience.
• Proven experience delivering business consulting engagements covering strategy formulation, transformation, and operational improvement.
• Experience supporting and managing multinational and Japanese clients and stakeholders
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required, as the role involves leading client meetings, facilitating workshops, and developing client-ready deliverables for Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

• Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT)
• Consumer Products & Retail (CPR)
• Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility (AMM)
