Can you make a team grow and excel by leading them through a project successfully? Then this might be an opportunity for you. We are currently looking for a new Senior Consultant / Project Manager to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya.

The office in Nairobi drives large promotion projects within Transport, Energy, Infrastructure & Healthcare as well as private assignment for small and large companies. The projects include market analysis, stakeholder analysis and engagement, market entry and growth strategies, and similar. The variety of assignments and the high level of responsibility make the work truly dynamic and challenging. From our location in Kenya, we also cover the East African Region.

The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility including monitoring leads, developing pipeline, and developing project scope, proposals, and cost.
  • Lead, manage, and develop project team members to ensure successful project deliveries and team competency development.
  • Building strong client relationships, design and drive analytical work, secure that insights and recommendations are well underpinned and packaged.
  • Proactively find new business opportunities, drive insight selling in the region and having an active role in developing our value propositions.
  • Take a leading role in our collaboration with Team Sweden in the countries we operate in, to provide support and business promotion platforms for Swedish companies.

You will report to the Trade Commissioner and the position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Formal requirements

  • You have a higher academic degree, at least a Bachelors degree and probably a Master of Science in Engineering and/or Business Administration.
  • For the Senior Consultant position: Minimum of 3,5 years of relevant experience from Business Sweden or a strategy or management consultancy firm or equivalent.
  • For the Project Manager position: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience from Business Sweden or a strategy or management consultancy firm or equivalent.
  • It is highly meriting if you have experience from working with multi-stakeholder projects within Team Sweden.
  • You are experienced in delivering consultancy projects and Strategic / Trade & Development projects, and confident in driving and supporting sales dialogues.
  • You have a high level of proficiency in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • It is meriting if you have experience from working with international companies before, and if you have lived in other parts of the world.

The candidate's experience and current level will determine whether Senior Consultant or Project Manager level is relevant.
