The Global Operations Project Management Office (PMO) delivers business-change projects across the United Kingdom and Europe. The UK team is part of the wider Global Operations PMO, supporting structured and consistent project delivery across the region. The team works with business leaders, operational teams, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver organizational and process change successfully.

This role reports to the Director, Project Management. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, third parties, and business and operational teams to understand their requirements, establish effective working relationships, and implement appropriate management processes for project and service delivery.
  • Define project objectives and success measures, creating and executing realistic project plans, resource schedules, cost models, and financial reports that provide clear direction for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects, taking responsibility for schedules, costs, resources, dependencies, and project modifications within the TransUnion delivery framework and PMO governance requirements.
  • Lead, monitor, and motivate cross-functional project teams, adapting your leadership style and contributing across different areas when necessary to support successful delivery.
  • Coordinate change, build, testing, and implementation activities across assigned teams, ensuring responsibilities, dependencies, milestones, and expected outcomes are clearly understood.
  • Prepare clear project communications, progress metrics, and timely and accurate reports for stakeholders and Programme Boards to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies through RAID logs, developing appropriate mitigation strategies and resolving or escalating issues promptly.
  • Establish and apply appropriate governance, quality assurance, and delivery standards to help ensure project outcomes meet agreed time, cost, and quality measures.
  • Manage Requests for Change by assessing and communicating their impact on project scope, costs, resources, deliverables, quality, and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation and knowledge records, while applying an appropriate understanding of relevant regulators and their powers throughout project delivery.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • A university degree or suitable equivalent professional experience that provides the knowledge required to manage complex business-change projects.
  • Between three and five years of project-management experience, including experience managing the complete project lifecycle and demonstrating successful delivery against time, cost, and quality measures.
  • Working knowledge of traditional and Agile project-management methodologies, including Waterfall, Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), and Scrum, with experience applying an appropriate methodology to project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and quality assurance, including experience maintaining project RAID logs and producing timely and accurate reports for Programme Boards.
  • Proven ability to deliver organizational and process change through collaboration with a wide range of business leaders, clients, operational teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Copilot for project planning, analysis, collaboration, communication, reporting, and document management.
  • Ability to define and communicate comprehensive, actionable project plans and resolve complex resource, system, and infrastructure interdependencies across multiple teams.
  • Ability to create and maintain resource schedules, financial reports, business cases, progress metrics, project plans, RAID logs, change requests, and project knowledge repositories.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to develop fit-for-purpose options, assess their risks and implications, and make independent decisions within the role’s area of responsibility.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, organizational, negotiation, and time-management skills, with the ability to communicate credibly and persuasively at all organizational levels, including senior management.

We’re also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up, we’re happy to support your career development and growth in:
