Job Description

As a Senior Consultant within the Banking Consulting Europe team, you will play a key role in the development, implementation, and support streams of Oracle’s next-generation banking applications. Operating with a moderate degree of independence, you will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet diverse business requirements across migration, integration, testing, and managed services activities.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory

  • 3–7 years’ experience in development, implementation, or support of core banking applications (minimum 2 years in relevant areas).

  • Hands-on expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices technologies (including Spring Boot), JavaScript, and XML.

  • Proven experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE/Core Banking products (customizations, coding, testing, integrations, migrations).

  • Familiarity with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database (12c/18c).

  • Experience with software deployment and troubleshooting on Oracle WebLogic.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong client interaction and communication skills in English.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.


Good-to-Have

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, testing tools, and source control/release management tools.

  • Experience with Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, or middleware such as Oracle Fusion SOA Suite.

  • Awareness of contemporary banking technologies and industry trends.

  • Exposure to software development process best practices.

  • Prior Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE technical certifications.

  1. Can you describe your experience implementing or supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE or similar core banking solutions for clients? What has been your biggest technical achievement in this area?

  2. Are you confident working with Core Java, J2EE frameworks, and microservices architectures, such as Spring Boot? Can you share an example where you applied these technologies to solve a real-world problem?

  3. How have you contributed to the integration or migration of banking technology systems? Describe your role in ensuring successful project delivery and compliance with quality standards.

  4. What is your approach to troubleshooting deployment issues on application servers, particularly Oracle WebLogic? How do you ensure minimal disruption to client operations?

  5. Are you comfortable preparing clear technical documentation and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multi-cultural, often remote, environment?

  • Participate as a senior technical team member across development, implementation, or managed service streams (migration, integration, testing support).

  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions aligned with business needs and Oracle methodologies.

  • Develop and deliver code according to technical specifications, ensuring alignment with quality standards.

  • Collaborate with offshore and client teams, providing technical guidance and coordinating project activities.

  • Document all technical work and comply with Oracle/client process, change control, and audit requirements.

  • Manage software deployment and troubleshooting on application servers, especially Oracle WebLogic.

  • Ensure timely and effective handover/knowledge transfer and produce clear project status reports for stakeholders.

  • Submit administrative deliverables such as timesheets and expenses promptly.
