We currently have two exciting opportunities at nbn for a Senior Consultant – Internal Audit. This role will report to the Executive Manager Internal Audit and Fraud, assisting the Internal Audit team in the execution and delivery of internal audits and related assurance projects.
A bit about your role
Working alongside one of Australia’s largest and highest profile co-sourced Internal Audit engagements, your role includes working collaboratively with internal and co-sourced Internal Audit staff and members of the nbn Fraud Management and Investigations team.
As a Senior Consultant – Internal Audit, you will support the delivery of risk-based audits aligned to nbn’s Internal Audit methodology and strategic audit plan. You will be supporting the delivering of Internal Audit services in a high performing environment across a broad range of business functions and enterprise-wide – including risk, governance, technology and security, finance, and operational processes. In additional to our planned work, you will be integral in the delivery of ad hoc complex assurance projects.
Through your collaborative and respectful approach, you will build trusted relationships across Internal Audit, co-source partners and the business, contributing to a connected, insight-led and purpose-driven audit function.
A bit about you
You bring demonstrated experience in internal audit risk assurance, external audit or a similar controls-focused role. You have successfully delivered end-to-end risk-based audits across range of enterprise disciplines. You are comfortable assessing control design and operating effectiveness and enjoy shaping practical, thoughtful remediation actions that support lasting improvement.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems or a related discipline, complemented by a professional qualification such as CIA, CA, CPA or CISA, or a commitment to complete one within the next 12 months.
Your experience with data analysis tools and your understanding of frameworks like COSO, enable you to approach your work with insight and rigour. Most importantly, you bring a supportive and respectful approach to working with others, contributing to a connected team culture and helping nbn continue to deliver with integrity and purpose.
