Senior Consultant II, SCADA/EMS/ADMS – Calgary, Canada

The future of operational technology hinges on experts who can deliver SCADA, EMS, and ADMS solutions with precision and expertise, with a particular focus on e-Terra software. PSC is seeking a Senior Consultant II to spearhead high-impact projects, drive client success, and provide technical leadership in this rapidly evolving industry, leveraging your deep understanding of this and similar platforms.

This role requires someone based in Calgary Alberta, will be instrumental in expanding our presence and becoming the firm of choice for Canadian clients, especially those utilizing or considering e-Terra solutions. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, overseeing complex consulting engagements, nurturing critical client relationships, and mentoring a team of skilled professionals, often involving the implementation and optimization of these critical OT systems. Collaborating with industry-leading vendors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of control systems, including advancements related to e-Terra integration and functionality.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver complex technical and advisory consulting projects.
  • Manage key client relationships, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Oversee SCADA, EMS, and ADMS implementations with vendors such as GE, Aspentech (OSI), Siemens, Schneider, and ABB.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development to a team of engineers.
  • Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities within PSC’s existing and potential client base.
  • Represent PSC at industry events, conferences, and working groups.
  • Support internal initiatives, business planning, and strategic reporting.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 10 years of SCADA, EMS, or ADMS experience.
    • With 5 years of of GE e-terra experience.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships while overseeing project delivery, including developing project schedules and ensuring successful execution.
  • Strong working knowledge of EMS vendor systems and applications, preferably GE and Aspentech (OSI), with additional familiarity with Siemens, Schneider, and ABB are also beneficial.
  • Ability to mentor others by providing technical guidance, sharing industry best practices, and supporting professional development as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with EMS and/or ADMS control system installation, configuration, and integration.
  • Proficiency in EMS and/or ADMS modeling tools, display-building tools, and domain management.
  • Strong knowledge of modern programming and scripting languages.
  • Working understanding and experience of SQL-based RDBMS databases.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or comparable professional experience and capability.
  • The ability to work in Canada without restriction and without the need for sponsorship to do so.
  • Current legal resident or citizen of Canada.

Location:

This will be a Hybrid role but the onsite portion of this will be a client offices in Calgary, Canada. We require someone already living in or close to Calgary or someone willing to relocate to Calgary from elewhere in Canada.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$140,000 CAD to $190,000 CAD
