Help modernise the control systems behind Australia’s energy future.
Some of the biggest changes in Australia’s energy system are happening behind the scenes, in the control systems that keep increasingly complex networks operating.
At PSC, you’ll bring your SCADA and EMS expertise to challenging energy and transmission projects, working alongside experienced specialists, clients and technology partners. And as our work in NSW grows, you’ll have the opportunity to help grow the team around you, mentor others and shape PSC’s next phase of SCADA/EMS capability in Sydney.
· Lead complex SCADA & EMS delivery
Provide senior technical expertise across SCADA and EMS upgrades, modernisation and integration, from design and configuration through testing, commissioning and operational transition.
· Get hands-on with the technology
Apply your experience across EMS/SCADA configuration, network and database modelling, displays and HMIs, alarms, system interfaces, troubleshooting and technical testing.
· Solve integration challenges
Work alongside clients, technology vendors and system integration partners to connect operational technology with the systems and applications needed to support modern electricity networks.
· Support testing & commissioning
Contribute to activities including system integration testing, FAT, SAT, UAT, point-to-point testing, defect resolution and operational readiness.
· Grow capability around you
Share your knowledge, mentor developing consultants and provide practical technical guidance. As PSC’s NSW work grows, you’ll have the opportunity to help strengthen our Sydney SCADA/EMS capability and influence how the team develops.
· Build trusted client relationships
You’ll be more than a technical specialist. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their challenges, provide practical advice and identify where PSC can continue adding value.
You’ve probably spent a good part of your career working with SCADA or EMS systems and understand what it takes to keep complex power networks operating. Ideally, you’ll know GE e-Terra, AspenTech/OSI or a similar EMS platform, and have worked across areas such as configuration, modelling, displays, databases, integration, testing or commissioning. You don’t need to be an expert in everything. What matters is that you’re technically capable, comfortable talking with clients and vendors, and happy to share what you know with the people around you. Experience with SQL, Python or PowerShell is useful, and we’re equally open to relevant qualifications or substantial hands-on industry experience.
You don't need to tick every box. If you've built strong expertise around complex utility control systems and can see your experience transferring into this environment, we'd still like to hear from you.
