BDO is a firm built on a foundation of positive relationships with our people and our clients. Each day, our professionals provide exceptional service, helping clients with advice and insight they can trust. In turn, we offer an award-winning environment that fosters a people-first culture with a high priority on your personal and professional growth.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant within BDO's Cloud Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our cloud business. Acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients, you will drive operational excellence across the cloud sales lifecycle, support strategic initiatives, and help scale processes that enable sustainable growth.

You will leverage your expertise in cloud operations, Microsoft licensing, customer engagement, and business process optimization to support sales, delivery, and customer success teams. This replacement role combines consultative client engagement with operational leadership, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Sales and Customer Success Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the cloud sales lifecycle, supporting the acquisition, onboarding, renewal, and expansion of cloud services customers.
  • Provide expert guidance on Microsoft CSP, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and other cloud-based solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Partner with sales and account teams to develop pricing strategies, licensing recommendations, proposals, statements of work, and change orders.
  • Support inbound client inquiries and sales activities, identifying opportunities to enhance customer value and drive cloud adoption.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client onboarding activities, ensuring a seamless customer experience and successful transition to service delivery teams.

Cloud Operations and Process Excellence

  • Lead and continuously improve cloud operational processes across order management, subscription administration, billing, invoicing, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with finance, delivery, and customer success teams to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of cloud transactions.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that improve service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices that support consistent execution across the Cloud Services business.

Reporting, Analytics and Business Insights

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, forecasts, sales performance metrics, and pipeline tracking reports to support business decision-making.
  • Analyze cloud business trends, customer adoption patterns, and operational performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on business performance, key wins, risks, customer trends, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the development of sales propensity models and other data-driven initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy and business outcomes.

Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Consulting, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Service Delivery to achieve business objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and scalability of Cloud Services operations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members through knowledge sharing, coaching, and process guidance.
  • Contribute to special projects and transformation initiatives that support the growth of BDO's Cloud and Managed Services practice.

Product and Industry Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs, cloud offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Deliver training, enablement sessions, and knowledge transfer activities for internal teams and clients.
  • Stay current on cloud market trends, licensing changes, and industry best practices to provide informed recommendations.

How Do We Define Success in This Role?

  • You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
  • You are recognized as a trusted advisor by internal stakeholders and clients for your expertise, professionalism, and ability to deliver results.
  • You proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
  • You effectively manage complex priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You leverage data and insights to influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • You contribute to the growth and profitability of the Cloud Services business through operational excellence and customer-focused solutions.
  • You foster an inclusive and engaging environment that supports collaboration, learning, and development.
  • You champion the adoption of digital tools, automation, and innovative approaches to improve business outcomes.
  • You continuously develop your technical, business, and consulting capabilities.

Your Experience and Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, cloud sales support, customer success, business operations, technology consulting, or a related professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based solutions, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft CSP, or similar SaaS and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes including quoting, subscription management, customer onboarding, billing, invoicing, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret business data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across business functions and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Nice to Have
