The Senior Consultant, Business Management is responsible for leading the financial, resource planning, operational efficiency and business performance support for Transfer Agency (TA) & AML. The role is responsible for supporting leadership in business performance & financial management, workforce and capacity planning and organizational effectiveness.

This role acts as a trusted partner to business leaders across TA & AML, providing insights, analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making and achievement of business objectives. Partnering with the relevant Business Unit and Function Heads, the role will drive delivery of the financial plan, FTE and capacity targets, expense management, operating model strategy and continuous improvement objectives. The role will provide data-driven insight, constructive challenge and recommendations to support regional decision-making. The successful candidate will combine analytical skills with proven strong execution capabilities and will work closely with partners across Operations, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Business Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Budget Management

  • Support the delivery and monitoring of the financial plan including support of budget creation.
  • Manage financial forecasts, FTE targets, capacity plans and third-party expenditure.
  • Monitor expenses, including travel, vendors, contractors and consultancy costs.
  • Identify financial risks, cost pressures and opportunities, escalating these promptly.
  • Support business cases and validate resource and investment requirements.

Workforce and Capacity Planning

  • Lead headcount, capacity and resource planning across the AML team.
  • Oversee permanent and temporary headcount, vacancies and open-position reconciliations.
  • Ensure replacement and temporary resource requests are accurate, supported and submitted on time.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Beeline Recruitment to streamline recruitment activity.
  • Optimize resource allocation in line with business priorities, financial plans and location strategy.
  • Lead and validate new business FTE submissions with the Business Unit Head and Function Heads.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Lead monthly reporting across financial performance, FTE, capacity, recruitment, productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop/ support dashboards and management information to support regional decisions.
  • Track productivity targets, headcount changes, location strategy and efficiency benefits against plan.
  • Provide senior leadership with clear analysis, commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • Improve reporting through automation, enhanced analytics and appropriate use of AI.

Leadership Support

  • Support delivery of AML’s broader operating-model objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the TA & AML Business Unit Heads and Function Heads.
  • Maintain strong relationships across Finance, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment and Operations.
  • Represent the Global TA & AML Business Management team in relevant regional and global forums.
  • Lead and coordinate Business Management team members and workstreams, where applicable.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, workforce management and management reporting. Degree in maths, analytics, economics, finance or accounting preferred.
  • Experience supporting and influencing senior leadership.
  • Transfer Agency/ AML experience will be advantageous, but relevant experience in business management, financial services, operations or finance of 5+ years' will be considered
  • This is an individual contributor role. Experience of leading teams, workstreams or cross-functional initiatives is advantageous.
  • Proven workforce & capacity management and resource planning skills.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and management-reporting skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with an understanding of automation and AI opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment operating autonomously and demonstrating a willingness to take initiative and work independently.
  • Good knowledge of Transfer Agency & AML operations and regulated financial services.
  • High degree of accountability, judgement and organizational awareness.
