Take this opportunity as we are now looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team in Berlin.

Through our presence in more than 40 markets worldwide, we support clients with market entry strategies, growth initiatives, commercial excellence, M&A support, public affairs and strategic business development.

From our Berlin office, we advise Swedish companies ranging from start-ups and scale-ups to multinational corporations across sectors such as energy, manufacturing, mobility, life sciences, technology and sustainability.

Our focus is to continue growing the advisory part of our business and further strengthen our position as a trusted partner to Swedish companies looking to succeed internationally. To support this journey, we are now looking for a Senior Consultant who combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial drive and excellent stakeholder management skills.

From our Berlin office, you will work closely with colleagues across Region Europe and Business Sweden's global network, supporting clients throughout Germany and beyond.

As Senior Consultant at Business Sweden, your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities spanning project delivery, client advisory and business development.

The role includes both strategic, tactical and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor, helping Swedish companies identify and capture growth opportunities in Germany and Europe.
  • Lead and deliver consulting and advisory projects within market entry, growth strategy, business development, partner search and M&A support.
  • Build strong client relationships and work closely with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Manage project teams and ensure high-quality delivery through structured project management, insightful analyses and actionable recommendations.
  • Drive and support sales activities, client dialogues and proposal development together with the Country Manager and colleagues across Europe.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to building a strong commercial pipeline for the German market.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Europe and Business Sweden's global organization to deliver cross-border projects and client value.

The role is based in Berlin, but you will be expected to work closely with clients, partners and colleagues across Germany, Europe and globally as required.

Formal requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Engineering, Political Science or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant professional experience within management consulting, strategy, corporate development, international business or a similar advisory environment.
  • Proven experience leading client projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering consulting and advisory assignments and confidence supporting sales and business development activities.
  • Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in international business environments.
  • Professional proficiency in English & German.
  • Swedish language skills are meriting but not required.

It is highly meriting if you have experience within one or more of the following areas:

  • Market entry and growth strategy.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Industrial transformation.
  • Energy transition and sustainability.
  • Public affairs and government relations.
  • Business development in Germany or across Europe.
