The OneStream Administrator/Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of the OneStream XF platform. This role develops administrator competencies for modifying core platform artifacts—including dimensionality, workflow, data sources, and transformation rules—and applies troubleshooting skills for a variety of common issues.
Working at the intersection of Finance and IT, the Administrator/Analyst partners with accounting, FP&A, and operational stakeholders to ensure the platform supports accurate, timely financial consolidation, reporting, forecasting and planning processes. The position works with accounting and finance groups to support internal use of the OneStream XF
Platform and helps serve the stakeholder community through existing setup as well as additional enhancements and utilization of OneStream XF Platform and MarketPlace tools.
Responsibilities: Platform Administration & Configuration
•
Execute primary administrative responsibilities within the OneStream application, encompassing maintaining entity hierarchies, configuring rules, orchestrating workflows, designing dashboards, and developing reporting views and packages.

Manage dimensions, work with cubes and extensibility, and build and update workflow profiles.
•
Manage metadata updates, enhancements, and system maintenance, supporting the overall administration of the OneStream XF application.
•
Maintain the system’s metadata in accordance with the company’s change management policy and summarize and distribute notes on changes to accounting and finance users.
Data Management & Integration
•
Manage and maintain data import artifacts, data entry workflows, and related artifacts.
•
Lead integrations (including mapping of new acquisitions) and upkeep of data quality processes, including validation, mapping, transformation, and confirmation activities from source systems into the OneStream platform.
•
Maintain and improve OneStream’s integration with ERP and other enterprise systems for seamless data flow.
•
Support data validation and reconciliation between source systems and OneStream models.
Reporting & Dashboards
•
Maintain, develop, and design reporting through OneStream Excel add-in, cube views, and dashboards.
•
Build and enhance reports and dashboards, workflow processes, and implement new modules of OneStream software to streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
User Management & Support
•
Manage user roles, permissions, and system access.
•
Provision users in OneStream security settings and perform regular security reviews on access.
•
Provide training and education to end users on system functionality as required.
•
Provide technical support and guidance to users and identify any problems or issues that arise.
Governance & Controls
•
Collaborate with the IT SOX team to uphold internal control governance, including SOX requirements, through meticulous documentation and coordination with both internal and external auditors regarding system access and change management.
•
Help develop and maintain documentation on key processes and controls used to support the cubes across the OneStream environment.
Workflow & Close Support
•
Revise and update workflow processes and utilize administrator tools to support end-to-end workflow execution.
•
Administer recurring tasks across various workflows such as corporate accounting, external reporting, FP&A, management reporting, and revenue reporting.
Continuous Improvement
•
Help support additional enhancements and expanded utilization of the OneStream XF Platform and MarketPlace tools.
•
Stay current on OneStream releases and upgrades; plan and execute platform upgrades as needed.
•
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and define business processes, establishing business process workflows and target-state workflow models.
Qualifications
List minimum requirements for education, experience, and proficiencies
Education
•
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
•
CPA or CMA is a plus.
Experience
•
4–6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or information systems.
•
Minimum 3 years of experience administering, implementing, or optimizing EPM/CPM applications such as OneStream, Hyperion (HFM/Planning), SAP BPC, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
•
Experience showing a strong knowledge of financial processes, including financial close, consolidations, financial reporting, and FP&A.
•
Experience with ETL tools, data warehousing, or basic scripting is a plus.
•
Experience with VB.net and composing business rules and logic is preferre
Certifications
•
OneStream Certified Associate (OCA) in Administration preferred, or willingness to obtain.
•
Completion of OneStream Essentials: Getting Started with OneStream (or equivalent knowledge) is expected.
Technical Skills
•
Strong practical OneStream experience as a power user or administrator, including report building, workflows, mappings, and business rules.
•
Proficiency with OneStream Cube Views, Excel Add-in, dashboards, and form templates.
•
Familiarity with data integration concepts and core financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
•
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
•
Basic knowledge of SQL or relational databases and familiarity with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) are desirable.
