1. Payment Application Impact Analysis & Design
Own the technical impact analysis and design for all payment applications impacted by
OBP and Core Banking upgrades.
Prepare and maintain HLDs and LLDs for impacted payment systems, integrations, and
countryspecific payment rails.
Translate upgradedriven changes into clear technical designs, impact notes, and
implementation guidance.
2. CrossApplication & Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with all payment application owners, program leads, and architecture teams
to:
o Understand upgradedriven changes
o Assess functional and technical impact across payment applications
o Estimate the quantum of change across systems and integrations
Act as the single technical coordination point for payment application changes across
programs.
3. CountrySpecific Payment Rail Impact Handling
Analyze and design changes across countryspecific payment rails and clearing systems
(e.g., UAEFTS, WPS, ICCS, KNPS, QATCH, RTGS, ACH) resulting from OBP and Core Banking
upgrades.
Ensure impacted payment applications comply with local scheme rules, message formats,
settlement logic, and regulatory requirements.
Support schemerelated certification and readiness activities for impacted systems.
4. Integration & Downstream System Alignment
Design and review changes across integrations between:
o Payment applications
o OBP and Core Banking
o Channels and digital platforms
o Gateways and reconciliation systems (Payment Tracker, Sherlock, Bravos, TLM)
Ensure all impacted integrations remain aligned with enterprise architecture, security, performance, and resilience standards.
5. Design Support During Build, Testing & Release
Support build teams by clarifying design changes and resolving impactrelated gaps.
Assist SIT/UAT by:
o Analyzing defects related to upgradedriven impacts
o Identifying root causes across payment applications and interfaces
Validate readiness of impacted payment applications for release and production deployment.
6. Technical Governance & Consistency
Ensure design consistency and traceability across all payment applications impacted by the upgrade.
Highlight risks, dependencies, and crossapplication impacts to program and senior stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with change management, release governance, and BCP/DR requirements.
