BESIX werkt - samen met toonaangevende partners uit de Belgische bouwsector – aan één van de meest ambitieuze infrastructuurprojecten van ons land: de Oosterweelverbinding

Op Rechteroever realiseren we onder andere de nieuwe Kanaaltunnels, verdiepen we de Antwerpse Ring en maken we mee ruimte voor een groenere, veiligere en toekomstgerichte stadsomgeving.

Met dit project bouwen we letterlijk en figuurlijk mee aan een gezondere, vlottere en leefbare regio voor honderdduizenden inwoners en pendelaars.

Vacatureomschrijving

As a Senior Construction Buyer, you will:

• Be in charge of the procurement plan for projects involving earthworks, demolitions, and civil works;
• Take off and schedule materials from drawings and specifications;
• Collaborate with BESIX Group Procurement category managers to leverage optimal conditions for specific projects;
• Send out supplier tender inquiries and analyse the received responses;
• Source, select, and negotiate the best purchase packages considering quality, price, terms, delivery, and services with suppliers and contractors;
• Prepare purchase documents and issue orders in accordance with specifications;
• Assist construction sites with daily plant and materials requirements;
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery;
• Deal with site or supplier delivery and invoice queries;
• Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents in compliance with company policies and procedures;
• Report to the head of Purchasing of the Oosterweel Project.

Functie-eisen

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or in Finance;
• You have prior experience as a Construction Buyer, ideally with infrastructure projects;
• You have at least 2-5 year experience in the purchase of construction works;
• You have good knowledge of materials used in groundworks;
• You have strong negotiation skills;
• You have commercial sensitivity;
• You are open-minded and an active listener;
• You are a team player and you have good communication skills;
• You have good knowledge of MS Office;
• You have a professional knowledge of Dutch and English.
• This is for a permanent contract!
