This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting and Reporting Manager to join Allianz Partners as Governance Manager and Senior Consolidation Accountant, with full ownership of Allianz Partners Solutions, our European service entity, and the consolidation of all its branches and subsidiaries.

As Goverance Manager and Senior Consolidation Accountant, you will be part of the Accounting and Regulatory Finance Team Europe 1, responsible for the accurate closing of AP Solutions Head office under IFRS, as well as the consolidated result of AP Solutions under German GAAP. In close collaboration with the wider Accounting & Reporting function, as well as with the Finance Centre of Excellence and the Planning & Controlling function, you will play a pivotal role in securing the accurate financial reporting of our European Service entity.


What you do

• Ensure that all periodic financial reporting (monthly, quarterly and yearly) are timely disclosed in accordance with group internal deadlines and regulatory requirements, under accounting and legal requirements.
• Ensure the consistency and appropriateness in accounting methods and the respect of the accounting requirements, leading compliance with the business’s internal corporate and finance rule book.
• Perform financial analysis with the ultimate aim to ensure quality and reliability of financial reports:
o Monitor the balance sheet accounts and ensure that proper and correct reconciliation have been implemented, to provide a reliable situation of the financial statements.
o Monitor periodically the profit and loss accounts and ensure that proper and correct bookkeeping have been implemented, to provide a reliable situation of the financial statements and of the profitability of the legal company under responsibility
• Coordinate external audits and ensure inputs are timely and with accuracy delivered.
• Ensure a timely and proper execution of internal audits & closure of related findings, developing relevant controls, rules and guidelines to enhance governance and mitigate risks.
• Encourage and facilitate communication with other teams, acting in a diligent and fair way in order to support the correct performance of the tasks and proactively encourage the resolution of issues that can harm the value of the company.
• Support the implementation of Group initiatives at legal entity level, support and locally drive transformation as required by the company’s strategy.
• Lead the consolidation process by establishing robust foundations and implementing an automated solution to enhance control, reduce manual effort, and increase reporting frequency
• Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the consolidated annual financial statements under HGB, working closely with external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Coordination, preparation and publication of the annual financial statement under HGB, in close collaboration with the Audit Team, internal stakeholders and the foreign branches. Assist in the preparation of financial statements presentations to the Supervisory Board.
• Responsible for the overarching control environment of AP Solutions and the adequate book keeping of its European branches;


What you bring:

• Higher education in accounting and/or business economics, certified accountant and/or Bachelor's/Master's degree in business economics with a focus on accounting.
• At least 5 years in a comparable role, experience in operational accounting in IFRS and local standards.
• Experience with SAP. Consolidation tools is a plus
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong HGB and IFRS knowledge
• Strong background in Group Consolidation and IFRS reporting
• Pro-active and able to identify and implement solutions for complex queries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and strong sense of responsibility and ownership
• Teamwork/collaboration with teams worldwide and stakeholders/teams within the BU (Finance Director, Operations, Underwriting, Finance Factory, Tax, Controlling)
• Good knowledge of local taxes is an advantage
• Experience in Insurance is an advantage.
• Fluent in German and English
• Positive energy and can-do attitude in a global organization
• Peak workload during monthly and year-end closings (November to April); resilience and flexibility are essential.
