Job Description

This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Manager to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.

In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and controls across all environments to ensure system integrity and traceability.
  • Manage configuration baselines, document and coordinate approved changes, and oversee the full lifecycle of configuration items—from introduction through operations to deprecation.
  • Lead configuration control activities, conduct audits, and provide status reporting to ensure all hardware, software, networking, and enterprise components are accurately tracked and maintained under configuration management standards.
  • Prepare, maintain, and execute a Software Engineering Plan (SWP) for managing all aspects of the Advana System software lifecycle.
  • Establish and operate a SAFE Agile development process for software development in accordance with industry-accepted best practices.
  • Maintain and operate the DevSecOps factory, process, documentation, policies, thresholds, and associated automated DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Perform software development and integration for System software including infrastructure, data tools and services, customer tools and services, cybersecurity, and user interfaces.
  • Plan, design, and implement software testing tools, processes, and procedures for conducting all testing for the System.
  • Conduct Configuration Management operations to control, identify, record, and report IT components, versions, constituent components, states, and relationships.
  • Establish and maintain various environments for supporting the System software lifecycle across the full DevSecOps process.
  • Deliver and maintain all software artifacts that are part of the System including source code, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), software executables, and commercial and open-source product software.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in configuration management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience implementing configuration management processes in enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience managing source control systems (e.g., Git-based platforms) and artifact repositories.
  • Experience maintaining configuration baselines and supporting change control boards.
  • Experience integrating configuration management into DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supporting configuration audits and traceability requirements.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience with software development and integration, particularly in a DoD environment.
  • Experience with software testing tools, processes, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • SAFe Agilist (SA) or related SAFe certification.
  • Experience operating within SAFe or large-scale Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems.
  • Experience supporting configuration management across multi-enclave DoD environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience managing container registries and Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Experience with managing software artifact repositories.
  • ITIL or CMII certification.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data, analytics, or AI platforms.
  • Familiarity with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and container hardening standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data, analytics, and AI capabilities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
