We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our engineering team in Malta.
This role focuses on designing, developing, training, deploying, and maintaining production-grade computer vision and machine learning models that enhance our Live Casino platforms. Key application areas include fraud detection, real-time video analytics for operational optimization (e.g., increasing round efficiency), and related visual intelligence solutions. You will also have opportunities to contribute to multimodal models where relevant.
You will work closely with backend, platform, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable and reliable AI-powered solutions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, train, optimise, and maintain computer vision and machine learning models for production environments
· Build scalable AI/ML pipelines covering data ingestion, processing, training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
· Work with live video streams and camera feeds, including frame extraction, preprocessing, inference, post-processing, and performance optimization for real-time computer vision use cases
· Develop low-latency inference services suitable for real-time systems and high-concurrency environments
· Establish engineering standards, MLOps tooling, and operational best practices for AI workflows
· Collaborate with backend and platform teams to define integration patterns and interfaces for AI services within the broader micro-services architecture
· Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage AI workloads using containerized and cloud-native technologies
· Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting for model performance, drift, and system health
· Continuously improve model performance, scalability, and inference efficiency
· Evaluate and introduce appropriate frameworks, libraries, and methodologies
· Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for AI-related initiatives
· Produce clear and maintainable technical documentation for models, services, pipelines, and operational processes
Requirements:
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or AI Engineering.
· Strong proficiency in Python and computer vision/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and related libraries for detection/tracking).
· Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML/CV models in production environments (not just research/prototypes).
· Solid understanding of model training, evaluation, optimisation, and computer vision techniques (object detection, OCR, anomaly detection, etc.).
· Experience with real-time video processing, streaming, low-latency inference, or high-concurrency production systems.
· Experience with MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and production pipelines.
· Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
· Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and micro-services architectures.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent English communication and collaboration abilities.
What’s in it for you?
· Opportunities for personal growth and learning.
· An open, inclusive, and supportive team where you will be valued, and your suggestions are always welcome.
· 24 days of paid holiday per year, in addition to local public holidays.
· Life assurance (2× annual salary).
· Private medical insurance.
· €400 annual wellness allowance.
· €80 monthly lunch allowance.
· Team-building opportunities.
· Parking(limited).
· Local discounts and more.
