The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Compliance, the Senior Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in the design and embedment of WorkCover’s enterprise compliance framework, ensuring the organisation meet its regulatory obligations while advancing its purpose of making a positive difference to people’s lives.
In this role, you will contribute to uplifting enterprise compliance maturity, with a particular focus on obligations management. You will take the lead in shaping and enhancing the management approach, ensuring obligations are clearly identified, understood, appropriately owned and supported by effective controls across the business. This includes building on existing capability as well as identifying opportunities to strengthen and embed best practice.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to support strong governance and risk-aware decision making. The role offers plenty of variety and ownership, with responsibility for leading pieces of work end to end, from interpreting regulatory requirements and mapping obligations, through to uplifting policies, assurance, and practical implementation.

About You
You are a compliance or risk professional with proven experience operating in a second line Risk or Compliance function, ideally within a highly regulated environment.
You bring deep expertise in obligations management, including hands-on experience building or significantly enhancing an enterprise-level Compliance framework and obligations management approach. You understand how regulatory requirements translate into clear ownership, controls and governance practices.
