
Senior Compliance Officer (Finance)
Location – Burwood – Hybrid 50% office attendance

Clerk Grade 9/10 - $129,464.00 to $142,665.00 plus superannuation and leave loading
Your role
In this role, you will support the Registrar of Community Housing to regulate and monitor community housing providers across NSW, with a strong focus on financial performance, viability and risk. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your financial analysis and regulatory expertise in a purpose-driven environment that helps strengthen the community housing sector and improve outcomes for tenants, government and investors.
What you’ll do
• Manage a caseload and assess the financial performance of community housing providers in line with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing and the NSW Local Scheme.
• Analyse financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flows and business plans to support registration and regulatory decisions.
• Undertake modelling and predictive analysis, and prepare clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations.
• Provide specialist financial advice to colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute to stakeholder engagement and reporting.
• Identify sector trends and risks, and help improve financial analysis systems, models and regulatory practice.
• Work within a specialist team supporting an independent statutory function in a collaborative, analytical and advice-driven environment.
What we’re looking for
• Tertiary qualifications in finance or a business-related discipline, or equivalent skills and experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting and data modelling skills, including advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and other modelling tools.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial information and prepare well-reasoned assessment reports, advice and recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, registration processes or the community housing sector, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and travel regionally when required.
