About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Compliance Officer to support our Compliance department within the French branch of Saxo Bank A/S. You will be part of a close-knit team of 3 colleagues, including the Head of Compliance France, reporting to local management and collaborating with the Head of Compliance Europe in Copenhagen.

The compliance function promotes integrity and adherence to legislation within our organization. As a Senior Compliance Officer, you focus on risk management, ethical issues, and encouraging responsible behavior. You support local management and business lines with an independent, critical perspective, contributing to a transparent and ethical culture across investment services, AML, MiFID II, and client protection.

This multifaceted role demands sharp regulatory knowledge, strong analysis, clear communication, and stellar organization while interfacing with AMF/ACPR regulators. Our team manages compliance risks across all domains, working hand-in-hand with front office, operations, legal, and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As our new Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures that align with French and European regulatory requirements as well as Saxo Group standards. You will also monitor and assess the effectiveness of our controls and procedures to ensure ongoing adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Further:

• Provide expert advice to local management and staff on regulatory matters, including review of marketing materials, client documentation, and new activities or products, while serving as escalation point for high-risk cases or FIU notifications.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance-related information.

• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including conducting internal investigations and preparing reports for senior management.

• Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices and ensure the bank's compliance framework is adapted accordingly

Your profile

• The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in compliance within banking, investment services, or fintech, with deep knowledge of French and EU regulations.

• You boast strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders effectively.

• Full proficiency in French and English is essential.
