About the role

Tritium builds DC fast charging equipment that operates in regulated markets around the world. Getting products certified on time, to the right standards, in every market we sell into is business-critical. This Senior Compliance Engineer role is the technical authority that makes that happen.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the technical authority on product compliance — interpreting and applying standards including UL, IEC, RoHS, RED, and IEEE, and owning certification activities end-to-end from documentation and lab coordination through to submission
  • Support design and test teams through prototype-to-certification transitions, reviewing product safety and EMC test plans and ensuring ISO 9001 and IEC/ISO 17025 alignment
  • Lead internal audits, manage CAPAs, and keep all compliance documentation version-controlled and auditable
  • Track regulatory changes, deliver internal training, and represent Tritium in industry standards committees when required

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, plus 8+ years of compliance engineering experience in regulated electronics environments
  • Proven experience with electrical safety compliance testing, documentation, and third-party lab accreditation and certification processes
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC/ISO 17025, and the ability to interpret and apply standards including UL, IEC 61851, RoHS, and RED
  • Experience in requirements definition, documentation quality, and managing compliance programs across cross-functional teams

Bonus points for

  • Experience with DC fast charging products or EV charging standards
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or compliance lab operations

Why Tritium?

  • Work on technology that’s genuinely shaping the future of transport, not just talking about it.
  • Free on-site DC fast charging for your EV.
  • Novated leasing and meaningful employee savings benefits.
  • Flexible access to your earned wages.
  • Global career pathways in a high-performance engineering environment.
  • Flex Time - Half a day every month blocked out so you can invest time back into yourself, your family, or your life outside of work
