Senior Compliance Business Partner

Job Title: Compliance Business Partner

Location: Nottingham or London

Working Pattern: 3 days in-office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Business Partner to provide specialist advice and support across the wider UK financial services compliance framework. This is a hands-on role where you will act as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming regulatory requirements, helping the business identify emerging risks, embed effective controls, and safely deliver new initiatives. You will play a critical part in translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business strategies.

What you’ll do

• Act as the Compliance subject matter expert for the UK business, specifically on our regulatory requirements.
• Provide vital compliance input and risk assessments for new products, customer journeys, partnerships, and strategic business initiatives.
• Maintain a broad understanding of the UK financial services regulatory environment to advise on critical areas such as Consumer Duty, Conduct risk, and Financial crime.
• Translate complex regulatory directives into practical, commercially focused business controls, confidently challenging business decisions where there is potential regulatory or customer harm risk.
• Prepare high-quality compliance reporting and foster strong, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations to promote a robust culture of regulatory compliance

The skills and experience you need

• Significant compliance experience within UK financial services, backed by strong specialist knowledge of electronic money, payment services, and payments regulation.
• A good working knowledge of the Electronic Money Regulations, Payment Services Regulations, and the FCA regulatory framework.
• Proven experience in providing pragmatic compliance advice to business stakeholders and undertaking thorough regulatory risk assessments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret ambiguous legislation and translate it into practical business requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and clearly explain complex regulatory concepts to non-specialists.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in either our London or Nottingham office.

We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work-from-home days.
