Job Description

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in North West London, are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their digital operations.

Position: Senior Communications Officer

Location: North West London

Rate: £36.09 p/h Umbrella

Contract: 3 months (Possible Extension)

Hybrid Working Available!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, research, plan, implement and evaluate communication and engagement campaigns and projects that raise awareness.
  • Manage the council’s social media, developing engaging social media content and responding to enquiries.
  • Develop/contribute content to both internal and external publications, case studies, speeches, and reports.
  • Support a variety of formal and informal consultation and engagement activities to enable residents to have a say on issues that affect them.
  • Brief and coordinate design, photography, video and print production.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in working within a Senior Communications role or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • Experience of writing/creating engaging content for in-house publications, press releases, media enquiries and social media.
  • Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating communications and engagement campaigns and projects.
