
Senior Communications Officer - IPART Officer E (Temporary)
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the Energy Security Safeguard which is an important component of the NSW Government’s Net Zero Plan.
As the Senior Communications Officer, you will lead the planning and delivery of high-profile communications and stakeholder engagement that supports the uptake of energy efficient equipment, fuels and storage.
You will translate complex information into clear, accessible content to help deliver meaningful engagement with industry, government and other stakeholders. The role develops messaging and campaigns across multiple channels, including websites, events and presentations, and ensures guidance published on IPART's Energy Sustainability Schemes website is up to date and accurate.
Employment period: This temporary opportunity is available to provide parental leave cover. The role is expected to be full-time from October 2026 to March 2027, with the possibility of extension in either a full-time or part-time capacity, subject to organisational requirements.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, event management, digital communications, government communications or regulatory environments will be highly regarded. The role requires strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
The salary range for this role is $134,488 - $143,962 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
