
Welcome to one of the most dynamic and high-impact areas at Microsoft—Communications. The Microsoft AI (MAI) Communications team is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Communications Manager to help drive communications around MAI's frontier model launches and other major technical moments.
In this highly visible role, you will partner with world-class researchers, engineers, product teams, and communications professionals to lead communications for MAI’s frontier model launches. You will shape the positioning and narrative, drive launch readiness and external engagement, and sustain momentum after release. You will also support select research breakthroughs, product innovations, and other high-impact technical moments that showcase MAI’s progress and leadership in AI.
We're looking for a strategic communicator who thrives at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and influence. You will build trusted relationships across the AI ecosystem, engaging with media, creators, developers, researchers, thought leaders, and industry communities who are shaping how models are discovered, tested, discussed, and understood.

Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
